In 1977, The Evergreen Club was formed under the name "Mid-Rivers Yacht & Country Club". The club incorporated in 1982 as a not-for profit organization called The Evergreen Club.
Charlie Martin designed the golf course and residential community. Mr. Martin first designed and developed Tequesta Country Club in Tequesta, Florida. He then moved his operation north to Martin County and developed Stuart Yacht and Country Club. Evergreen was his third and final planned unit development in South Florida.
The Evergreen Club's niche in the county is defined by its sprawling one-acre lots for every home in the community, with large setbacks from the golf course. You really need to play Evergreen to truly see the beauty and peacefulness of a golf course that wasn't squeezed in between houses. Evergreen is a well thought out golf and residential community.
