What kind of golf do you want to play? Whatever your preference, there's a game for you at The Evergreen Club. Gold tees beckon to the lower handicappers; blue and white tees speak to preference and confidence; green tees are positioned for senior players; and red tees stand ready for the ladies. Men's Golf
Gentlemen, when you're in the mood for a nine-hole morning game, you'll find the Men's Niners waiting for you. A short round, a libation and a lunch in the grill room might be just what you're looking for. A morning at the club with friends is just the ticket to wrap up the week.
Lower handicapped players may be seduced into a game or two with a revolving band of men nicknamed (for good reason) "The Bandits." Playing daily at various times as the course schedule permits, competitive golf has never been so addictive, so frustrating, so exhilirating. Ledbetter told us best, 'golf is not a game of perfect".
Ladies Golf
The course is cleared of men Tuesday mornings as women of The Evergreen Ladies Golf Association (ELGA) takes their carts to the course. Throughout the year, these 18-holers compete in a variety of flighted formats and scrambles designed to showcase players' skills and keep the game fresh and fun. Friends become competitors at the annual Club Championship Tournament. Throughout the summer months, ELGA members are invited to pit their skills against other 18-holers at Interclub Tournaments scheduled at Treasure Coast private clubs.
The Evergreen Lady Niners kick off each month with a luncheon and scramble. This Monday afternoon group is welcoming to new and long-time players alike. The formats are varied, the pace is relaxed, the games (and the ladies!) are fun. Throughout the season, Niners from Evergreen participate in Invitational scrambles at Treasure Coast private clubs.
Couples' Golf
An ABCD nine-hole scramble on Thursday afternoons followed-by a light supper in the grill room presents a competitive yet low-key opportunity for men and women to meet and socialize with other members. And no week would be complete without a Friday night date with "Hit & Giggle". This REALLY casual 9-hole scramble is scheduled only during daylight savings months. It's so casual, in fact, that no scores are written down, but masterful strokes are described in detail over the dinner and drinks that follow the game.
